A BRIEF INTRODUCTION
Just The Highlights
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
~ Winston Churchill
I am extremely motivated and constantly developing my skills and growing professionally as a changemaker. I am confident in my ability to come up with interesting ideas. I believe that I have a unique contribution to make to society, not just to change my life, but also to make a difference in the world and make it a better place.
I attribute a significant amount of my personal success to the success of my business Afritorch Digital. You can find more information on Afritorch Digital on the corporate site https://afritorchdigital.com
It’s important to note that while Afritorch Digital is a corporate B2B enterprise, it runs in conjunction with Afritorch.com which is a consumer facing platform that facilitates recruitment for research projects. Although it can be challenging at times, working in both B2B and B2C environments has enabled me to quickly gain skills and insights into both markets.

Thriving Network: Driving The Digital Revolution

TELL YOUR STORY
Competition Winner

Thabo Mphate had always been passionate about helping people succeed in their small businesses. He had started his own successful business from scratch and understood the struggles that entrepreneurs faced when trying to get their ventures off the ground. So when he was approached by the Thriving Network to mentor one of their candidates in small business start-up, he jumped at the opportunity.
The candidate, a young woman named Tumi, had a great business idea but was struggling to figure out how to turn it into a profitable venture. Thabo immediately took her under his wing and started working with her to develop a business plan, create a brand identity, and identify potential customers. He shared his own experiences and offered invaluable advice on everything from marketing to finances.
Over the course of several months, Thabo watched as Tumi’s confidence grew and her business began to take shape. She was able to secure funding, launch her website, and start marketing her products to a wider audience. Thabo was proud of her progress and felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that he had played a small part in helping her achieve her dreams.
As Tumi’s business continued to thrive, Thabo realized that mentoring was something he truly enjoyed and was good at. He started to explore ways to expand his reach and help more aspiring entrepreneurs turn their ideas into successful businesses. And he knew that he had the Thriving Network to thank for giving him the chance to discover this passion and make a difference in the lives of others.
ROSEBANK COLLEGE
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration

Thabo Mphate’s story is one of determination and practicality. He had always been interested in pursuing a career in business administration, so he enrolled at Rosebank College to earn his B-com degree. However, as he progressed through his studies, he came to realize that academia without experience can often become a hurdle.
Rather than continuing down the traditional academic path, Thabo decided to take a leap of faith and venture into practical work experience. He knew that the only way to truly understand the ins and outs of the business world was to get his hands dirty and gain firsthand experience.
Today, Thabo is a successful entrepreneur, mentor, and leader in his industry, and he knows that his practical experience was the key to his success.
